Charlotte is a British soprano and Royal College of Music graduate, based in London. Charlotte studied History at the University of Warwick from 2010 to 2013 before completing her Masters of Performance in Singing at the Royal College of Music under Amanda Roocroft. She now studies with Gary Coward in London.

Her operatic experience includes Lady Billows in Britten's Albert Herring, the Mother in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, Tatyana in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Musetta in Puccini's La Bohème and the title role in Rossini's La Cenerentola. On the concert platform she has enjoyed performing the works of Wagner, Mozart, Brahms and Mahler amongst others.


Whilst at the University of Warwick Charlotte studied voice with Richard Whitehouse and Llyndall Trotman, during which time she performed regularly at Warwick Arts Centre and beyond. With Opera Warwick she performed roles including Gertrud in Hansel and Gretel,  Alice's Sister in a devised opera pastiche of Alice in Wonderland and Angelina in La Cenerentola, as well as Musetta in a concert performance of La Bohème and Tatyana in staged scenes from Eugene Onegin. She also sang in the chorus for productions of The Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute. 

During her time at university Charlotte was President of Opera Warwick from 2012-2013, giving her an insight into other aspects of the performing arts in addition to that of being on stage.

At the Royal College of Music Charlotte covered 
Janis Kelly in the role of Lady Billows for the RCM International Opera School production of Albert Herring. She also performed roles including Hanna Glawari The Merry Widow, Donna Elvira Don Giovanni and Cherubino Le Nozze di Figaro in Opera Scenes. She has also performed in the Chorus for the RCM International Opera School production of Die Zauberflöte.

Charlotte is an experienced choral singer and has sung in various SATB and female-voice choirs.  At the University of Warwick she sang with the University of Warwick Chamber Choir and the University of Warwick Chorus, during which time she performed works including the Messiah, Bach's Mass in B Minor, Mozart's Requiem, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle and Britten's Saint Nicolas. She has sung as a soloist in Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Mozart's Great Mass in C Minor and Lambert's The Rio Grande.

In 2012 Charlotte was the winner of both the Bennett Cup and the M. Moore Cup at the Leamington Music Festival and in 2013 won the Edward Burton Cup for operatic aria. She has also attended the 'Can You Sing?' International Opera Summer Course in Porthcawl, South Wales and the 2014 British Youth Opera workshops in London.

Charlotte was born in London in 1992. She grew up and went to school in Cardiff, South Wales, where her love of music first developed. While at Howell's School Llandaff she was a member of the Senior School Choir and College Choir and regularly performed at venues including St David's Hall, Llandaff Cathedral and the Wales Millennium Centre. Whilst in Cardiff she also took part in the young people’s Introduction to Opera training course with the Cardiff International Academy of Voice. On leaving school she was awarded the May Chick Prize for Services to Music.
